Driven by breakthroughs in gene editing and drug delivery, together with the convergence of AI and synthetic biology, cell and gene therapy (CGT) has entered a new era marked by multi-site clinical advances and high-quality technology translation.To plan for the industry’s future, the 2025 International Biopharma Industry Week (IBIW 2025) launches the Cell and Gene Therapy Forum, organized by the Shanghai Academy of Natural Sciences (SANS). Centered on three core themes—cell therapy, gene therapy, and industrial integration—the forum will map a systematic pathway from scientific discovery and technological validation to commercial realization, uniting leading scholars, clinician-scientists, and industry pioneers to explore forward-looking directions and accelerate CGT innovation.
