Rebuilding visual function for the blind represents a major challenge in life sciences. We are interested in utilizing interdisciplinary approaches, namely physics and brain science, to offer a promising path beyond pixel-based approaches. By decoding the brain’s high-throughput visual coding mechanisms, we aim to design artificial photoreceptors, and ultimately exploring transformative new strategies for visual restoration.
