Professor Liao’s research focuses on the medtech integration and clinical translation of intelligent gastrointestinal capsule endoscopy. Driven by technological innovation and evidence-based clinical evaluation, he aims to overcome key technical bottlenecks, such as precise luminal sampling, accurate biomarker sensing, and targeted drug release, while systematically validating the capsule’s diagnostic and therapeutic efficacy. Through this work, Professor Liao strives to explore the mysteries of the digestive tract and unravel the underlying mechanisms of GI diseases.
