Cells represent the smallest functional units of life. To date, the fundamental regulatory principles governing cell phenotypes remain incompletely understood, which impedes a deeper comprehension of life processes and human diseases. To sense and respond to metabolic and growth signals is a fundamental physiological process that maintains cellular functional homeostasis, cell growth and proliferation. It also underlies more complex intercellular interactions and synergies. My research focuses on the core signaling mechanisms involved in cellular metabolism and growth. I aim to identify key molecular regulatory pathways, elucidate their roles in human diseases such as cancer and metabolic syndrome, and explore potential intervention strategies.
